About the Role

As Director, you will play a critical role in managing administration systems, overseeing document flow, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. You’ll be at the heart of operations in the Office of the Director-General, ensuring everything runs efficiently and professionally.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this senior position, you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Public Management, Public Administration, or Business Administration
Completed Pre-entry Certificate for SMS (National School of Government)
Minimum 5 years’ experience at the middle or senior management level
A valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities

Administration & Policy Management

  • Develop and implement administrative frameworks and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with PFMA, DPSA directives, and Treasury Regulations.
  • Monitor adherence to internal procedures and standards.

Document Management & Control

  • Oversee the flow of documents in and out of the Director-General’s office.
  • Ensure proper handling of classified and sensitive information.
  • Track instructions and ensure timely follow-ups

Financial & Supply Chain Oversight

  • Manage financial administrative services.
  • Oversee supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures.

Stakeholder & Enquiry Management

  • Supervise community liaison and enquiry management.
  • Manage queries from the Ministry and the Director-General’s office.
  • Ensure efficient communication and response systems.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Compile monthly reports and statistics.
  • Monitor the performance of staff and manage contracts.
  • Ensure coordination of departmental activities.

Asset & Resource Management

  • Oversee asset management within the department.
  • Ensure proper control, tracking, and utilization of resources.
